Introducing nanotechnology for electrostatic assist

HannePearl is the only solution on the market for roller and sleeve coverings for cardboard packaging with electrostatic assist (ESA) that combines polyurethane with nanotechnology.

The carbon nanoparticles used in HannePearl are 10,000 times smaller than the black carbon that is traditionally used. Because of its extremely small size
(1 nanometer is 0,000000001 meter), the carbon nanoparticles distribute the electric charge submitted to the impression roller more evenly over its surface.

Superior electrical resistance constancy

The use of nanotechnology results in a more constant electrostatic field, offering more accurate attraction of ink on the printed medium. Nano carbon particles offer better control of the electric charge submitted to the roller, allowing you to meet the most stringent ESA production specifications and lowering the risks for over-charging and sparks.

Improved mechanical performance

What’s more, the use of nanoparticles significantly improves the mechanical performance of the roller. Compared to existing polyurethane rollers, HannePearl has 10 to 20% better abrasion resistance, saving on maintenance and regrinding costs. Deformation recovery is improved by 20 to 25%; and during operations, heat build-up in the press is lower, allowing for higher press speeds. Finally, the improved chemical resistance of the roller makes cleaning easier and faster.
